We make no apologies on this web site. We are "Platform agnostic", but we don't like Microsoft. Pure and simple, we think there are far better alternatives out there for an operating system, ESPECIALLY when it comes to servers. In our opinion, M$ has no business in your datacenter and we'll tell you why. We'll give you some great alternative OSs to use here, and suggest software to go along with it. Enjoy your stay!

About Us

What we are
We are a true ABM site. In case you haven't heard the term, ABM stand for "Anything But Microsoft". Here we try to suggest alternatives to M$ in every way possible, to get M$ out of your life completely and be free of Viruses, Instability, Spyware, Trojans, and Adware (VISTA). If you want to stop paying the Micro$oft tax, this is the place to be.
What we are not
We are NOT a strictly rabid Free Software site, that is to say we love the FSF and free software but we have no objection to using something licensed under other licensing schemes like say the BSD license or any of the various renditions of the GPL. We even have no aversion to proprietary products as long as they are reasonable in price and licensing terms. An example of this wouuld be some products for MacOSX such as the SimpleImage image editor which only costs $29.95 - a reasonable price for software of that nature unlike some overpriced packages out there for Windoze.
